T M Hazle

Bill Hazle attended LaRue County High School where he was in the top 15 percentile of his class. Lettering in football, basketball, baseball, track, tennis, and was in the band. He was an outstanding student. Bill was president of the band his senior year, captain of the football and basketball teams. Although he was offered a scholarship to the United Sates Naval Academy, his color perception caused him to not qualify physically. Rather than attending West Point, for which he was qualified, Bill elected to attend the University of Kentucky from 1966 till 1971 where he majored in Business and Economics, a double major. He was a walk on football player until his second year when he was awarded a full scholarship. His Father, T.M. Hazle, became ill his 5th year at Kentucky, and Bill had to run the family businesses, while attending the University.

The family business excelled while he was leading the company, both in increased sales and profitability. Bill added more profit centers to the company expanding the products and services. He also, assisted in the incorporation of the company. Bill won several sales awards from the General Electric Company and attended, upon their invitation and request, "The General Electric Institute of Retail Appliance Management", held at Western Kentucky University.

After attaining virtually all the appliance business in the area, Bill looked for more areas to expand his talents and business ventures. Joining VR Business brokers in Louisville and later forming a partnership with Frank Chambers and Associates for the purpose of Business brokerage and property management. His experience with many companies made him a Vice President of the Cogswell Company in Louisville followed by management with Kentucky Fried Chicken.

While at KFC he was charged with hiring and training many hourly personnel and being the "Training Store Manager" for management of the Nashville market. These long and demanding hours were rewarding for Bill and KFC increasing sales from some 5 million to over 25million in the Nashville market, the first few years after KFC's purchase of the market.

Bill left KFC in 1989 and worked for a short time as a divisional sales manager of the First Investors Company of New York. Then moved to the Florida Keys where he was instrumental in the operation and expansion of all the KFC stores in the Florida Keys. After Hurricane Andrew however, in 1992-93 Bill was unsuccessful in negotiating a price and purchasing the four stores in the Keys. His Father was aging and in need of assistance with the family business once again. Bill returned to Kentucky to attend his father's health issues and later his death.

In 1993 Bill was interviewed and accepted a position with International Profit Associates where he was a Senior Financial Analyst for the company. The company had sales of approximately 5 million dollars when Bill came to the company and in 2002-2003 when Bill left the company their sales exceeded 50 million. He won several awards and was awarded the "Gentlemen of the Year Award" in 2000.

Again, Bill felt the necessity to care for his aging Mother who died in September 2010 at 98 years of age and lived with him in Hodgenville. To accommodate her care before her death, Bill worked with Union Savings Bank for a short while as a Loan Officer and then Gumer & Company in Louisville, which had been one of Bill's clients during his tenure at IPA. He was with Gumer and company until May 2009.

Since May 2009, Bill has been a consultant, substitute teacher at LaRue County School System, Lifeguard at Baptist Health Milestone Wellness Center, Deacon chair and member of First Baptist Church of Hodgenville while attending to his late Mother, Father, Sister, and Brother-in-Law. Also, Father of Three wonderful Daughters, and Grandfather of nine.
